Job enrichment, as a managerial activity includes a three steps technique:
Job Application Form is a form or collection of forms that an individual seeking employment, called an applicant, must fill out as part of the process of informing an employer of the applicant's availability and desire to be employed, and persuading the employer to offer the applicant employment.
Extrinsic Reward is reward for doing a job which are external to the individual such as wages, bonuses, incentives, fringe benefits and job promotions.
Compensation is something given or received as an equivalent for services such as debt, loss, injury, suffering, etc. Compensation can be based on either sales or profit earned. There are two various compensation methods which are monetary and fringe benefit. Examples of monetary compensation are salary, commission and bonus. Whereas, examples of fringe benefits are medical, dental, personal grooming, insurance, annual leave and maternity.
Shoplifting is also known as retail theft, it is theft of goods from a retail store. To prevent shoplifting, there are various measurements that can found in the retail store such as CCTV, shop detectives, hard tags, and etc.
Intrinsic rewards refers to rewards that are built into the work. These are internal awards that give workers themselves.
People are more highly motivated to do whatever is necessary, if they find intrinsic rewards in the job, than if it is just another well paying job. If a job is interesting, challenging, compelling, then it is a reward in itself.
Commission is one of the monetary compensation method that compensates the employee for their work. It is a sum or percentage allowed to them, usually based on the sales or profit the company earned.
E.g. The salesperson will receive 5% commission from the sale of a laptop. Meaning the slaesperson will receive 5% of the amount earned from selling the laptop to a customer.
Orientation programmes are a type of training programme designed to assist new employees in adjusting to their jobs and work environment and to instill a positive work attitude and motivation.
E.g. informing the new employees on the company's policy, regulation, their working hours, fringe benefits etc
Cash Wrap a.k.a. point-of-sale (POS), POS systems use computers and specialize terminals to capture data such as the time and place of sale.
Job Description are duties, responsiblities, contributions and outcomes needed from a position, required qualifications of candidates and reporting relationships with coworkers on the job.
